IEP assistance and advocacy for your child
Navigating the special education system can feel overwhelming. Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are powerful tools — but only when families understand them and know how to advocate effectively. Our IEP assistance and advocacy services help families participate fully in the process and ensure their child's needs are met.
What is an IEP?
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legally binding document developed for students with disabilities who qualify for special education services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It outlines your child's present levels of performance, annual goals, the services they will receive, and how progress will be measured. Every child who receives special education services must have an IEP, and families have important rights throughout the process.
How we help families
IEP meeting preparation
We help you understand your child's current IEP, review evaluation reports, and prepare questions and priorities before you walk into the meeting.
IEP meeting support
We can attend IEP meetings with you as a support person, help you understand what is being discussed, and ensure your voice is heard.
Goal review and development
We review proposed IEP goals to ensure they are specific, measurable, and meaningful for your child — and help you advocate for stronger goals when needed.
Understanding your rights
We help families understand their rights under IDEA and Florida special education law, including the right to an independent educational evaluation (IEE), prior written notice, and procedural safeguards.
Transition planning
For students approaching age 14 and beyond, we help families navigate transition planning — including post-secondary goals, vocational training, and community participation.
Connecting therapy to school
We help families communicate their child's therapy progress to school teams and ensure that IEP services and therapy goals are aligned.
Who we serve
We support families of children with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, speech and language disorders, developmental delays, and other conditions that qualify for special education services. Whether your child is just entering the special education system or you have been navigating IEPs for years, we can help.
Step Up For Students Unique Abilities Scholarship
Families of children with qualifying disabilities in Florida may be eligible for the Step Up For Students Unique Abilities Scholarship (formerly the Gardiner Scholarship). This scholarship can be used to fund a range of educational services and supports, including therapies, tutoring, and other approved expenses. Our team can help you understand whether your child may qualify and how to apply.
Frequently asked questions
Why families choose Kredo Health
We're more than a therapy clinic. We're your partner — from the first phone call through every milestone your child reaches.
Every specialist your child needs, in one place
Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA — all under one roof. No juggling appointments across three different clinics. No gaps in communication between providers. Just one team, focused on your child.
Your child's therapists actually talk to each other
When your child receives more than one service at Kredo Health, their therapists coordinate on shared goals and share what they're seeing. That means every session builds on the last — not in a silo.
You're part of the team, not just a bystander
We teach you the strategies your child's therapist uses so progress doesn't stop when the session ends. Parent involvement isn't optional here — it's built into how we work.
We believe in starting early
The earlier a child gets support, the more the brain can adapt and grow. We take early concerns seriously and work to get children into services quickly — because waiting rarely makes things easier.
Support that goes beyond the therapy room
We help families navigate insurance questions, school IEPs, referrals, and next steps. We're not just here for the session — we're here for the whole journey.
Your neighbors, not a national chain
We're a local clinic rooted in the West Orlando community — Windermere, Horizon West, Winter Garden, Clermont, and beyond. We know the schools, the pediatricians, and the families we serve.
